The brief,
resolved.
KNE Residence began with a brief that was both ambitious and personal. The client wanted a home that didn't just accommodate family life but expanded what family life could feel like — a private estate where everyday living, hosting, and recreation each had their own architecture.
The footprint covers approximately 2,000 m² of total area across multiple wings. Six to eight bedrooms, each with private ablutions, are organised in a quiet wing distinct from the public living areas. Two kitchens, two lounges, and two dining areas allow simultaneous everyday family use and large-scale entertaining without one mode interrupting the other.
Beyond the living core, the brief carved out space for a dedicated gym, a studio, a play room, an office and study, a server room, and an entertainment wing built around a bar and games space. Six to eight garages, an exterior pool court, and integrated landscaping complete the property programme.
The architecture resolves this scale through restrained massing. Modular volumes — some clad in stone, others in dark composite panel, with off-shutter and timber accents — break the building down so the home reads as a composed group of forms rather than a single monolithic block. Glazing is generous but considered, framing specific views rather than blanket transparency.
KNE Residence demonstrates the scale of work the practice is positioned to take from concept through to construction completion — in a single integrated engagement.
